About Youth Ministers' Network

The Youth Ministers’ Network, started in 1980, is an association of employed and volunteer youth ministers called to serve the needs of youth ministry in the parishes and communities of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. YMN provides a forum for the ongoing formation of youth ministers and the development of the field of Catholic youth ministry.

Membership

The membership of the Youth Ministers’ Network is open to any employed or volunteer ministers in a multitude of settings.

Networking

YMN meetings offer both structured and unstructured networking time.

Professional Development

Professional Development is an opportunity to hear from speakers and engage in discussions around current issues affecting the field of youth ministry. It is a chance to challenge and explore new perspectives, methods, and ideas in a supportive atmosphere, enriching members and their ministries.

If you have an idea for professional development at a future meeting please contact us!

Committees

Members participate in various YMN committees: Advocacy, Hospitality, and Professional Development to name a few. Members may also represent YMN at the Coalition of Ministry Associations or various boards.

Mission Statement

Youth Ministers' Network seeks to acknowledge God’s presence in ourselves and those we serve. We commit ourselves to listen to and voice the needs of youth ministers at the parish, archdiocesan, and national levels. We encourage dialogue and discussion with agencies, parishes, and people involved in ministry with young people.
